- Please donate blood/test results
- Posted by louisejoi
I found myself with some extra time before Christmas waiting for my doctor
appointment so I donated blood. They were so grateful to see me...they said
they were desperate for blood. It had special meaning for me because my
blood was going to the military and would probably end up in Iraq. This is
a busy time of year for most folks and blood donations really slack off, so
if you can, please consider donating.
My latest A1c was 5.5 (reference 5.2-6.1), so I'm still in the 5% club!

Congrats on the continued membership!
I donate every 3 months like clockwork, I consider it a civic duty.

Louise,
Good for you! I donated 6 times in 2003.
You should get your blood drawn for your HgbA1C before
you donate. Donating artificially lowers your A1C number.
Best of health in the new year,
Stuart
