Not allowed to use a store restroom
Posted on 12-24-2003 | 23 Comments

I recently found this web page that describes what to do if you were not allowed to use the restroom in a business establishment. Thought some of the folks here that don't yet have their treatment under control might be interested. http://cfpra.org/PRI/Fightback.htm If anyone knows of another group that cares, forward it to them or better let me know (1st remove the NOSPAM from my email address)

OT: Holiday Travel
Posted on 12-24-2003 | 5 Comments

In reference to the Terror Alert Levels, formerly DefCon (Defense Condition) - "Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge, who also urged Americans on Monday not to disrupt their holiday plans. "If you've got travel plans, travel," he said." Yep, I plan on traveling. From the living room for entertainment, to the kitchen for sustenance, for a lay over in the bedroom <g>, and the 'water closet' for relief. Round trip. Of course that may not be in order. Have to keep them guessing, you know.

Have an awesome festive season.

G'day G'day Folks, Have an awesome festive season, whatever and where ever you are celebrating. Situated on the East coast of New Zealand we are about the first folks to greet each new day. It arrives all fresh and pristine regular as clockwork. Then things happen ... some good, some bad. Most of it what we make of it. Be kind to the days we pass on to you, we would like to keep having them back tomorrow in mint condition.

The easy things are: not eating fast food eating more veggies taking my metformin 2x/day walking (most of the time, sometimes no time to walk) (was at the mall and walked 8km (11,000 steps) and another day walked 9km (12,000 steps)!!! drinking water poking my fingers

A wish for you and yours

Here again comes the season in which people proclaim : "Peace On Earth, Good Will Toward Man" We can only hope that by January 2nd we are still carrying that blessing in our hearts and attitudes. I've learned important lessons in my life - the most important being that life itself passes by too fast - and we, the living, tend to take for granted that there will always be tomorrow. Tomorrow for breathing in the joy of being alive. Tomorrow for remembering to do a

Chats with Marty

Greetings & Salutations Grady, I followed the link for your homepage to the link for "Chats with Marty", then "Healing foods for the T2". I have a question about the first paragraph. Not wanting to take anything out of context, but included here is the statement(s) that I'm a bit confused by. You (or Marty?) said, "Under diabetes mellitus it has juvenile onset diabetes and adult onset diabetes. Type II diabetes is adult onset diabetes...".

Just another suggestion - you say that you do not have space for a second PC - do you have enough space for just a second base unit? I use a simple 2-KVM switch which cost me about 20 quid. For those who do not know, KVM = Keyboard, Video, Mouse. It allows you to use two computers with the same mouse, kybd and monitor. I usually use it when I am working on someone else's pc for them - firing up moorhen hunt or something on mine while I am waiting for theirs to install something or...

OT: PETA CAMPAIGN IS DISTGUSTING
Posted on 12-24-2003 | 9 Comments

I caught wind of the "PETA" campaign on FOX News last night. I went to their web site to see if it was really true. PETA representatives are handing out a "comic" to children who are going the the Nutcracker with their parents. This item is so repungent that I cannot believe that anyone would stoop this low to make a point. PETA thinks this is a good method to forward their views. I believe that they need to hear from the public that this method is
