Are you saying that man WAS intended to devour bags of BBQ fries??? Are you saying that man WAS intended to subsist on processed carbs - none of which was ever seen a hundred years ago???? Are you saying that eating a balanced diet rich in natural foods is the "same old crap"????? Looks to me like your main problem isn't diabetes, but rather a more serious condition caused by the inert stone brick located between your ears.....and

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with my diabetes, but I wanted to see if anyone had similiar experiences... I've had Diabetes type 2 for about 10 months now. I've got my A1c down from 10% at Dx to 6.6% at my last check up. In any case Ive started to get frequent bloody noses in the past 6 weeks.. I've had about 6 or 7 of them.. where I'll go to couch up flem and there is blood in it.. then I'll blow my

X-No-Archive: yes I was diagnosed on 9-15-03. At six feet tall I weighed 227 when in hospital. I weighed myself this morning and weighed 175; a difference of 52 pounds. The weight has been steadily dropping. I have been excercising religiously on my Schwinn Airdyne and watching my carbs. I haven't really even cheated on my diet with food but I did have a few too many beers the other night but my BG stayed steady at 112 before my evening shot of insulin. The question I had is why am I losing so...

I've pretty much resigned myself to realizing that I'll be eating a strict and limited diet for the rest of my life. I don't dare rebel because of the neuropathy. For me, BG of much beyond 150 brings horrible pain. It's not worth it! Sometimes I'll dine out and order what I think is a safe meal, only to suffer from high BG later. When this happens, I get furious and am fearful of dining...

I am just getting up.. starting my day. My FBG was 150... which is WAY better than it has been the last 3 mornings (200, 200 and 190) I am drinking Atkins "stuff" .. its the powder you mix with water... People.. this shake SUCKS! I guess Im so used to the Slim Fast flavor... I always get Chocolate. Slim Fast is loaded with sugar and I guess that is why the Atkins stuff tastes horrid to me. I figure I will start my day off with this stuff today and see how my sugars are through the day. ...

What kind of mood I find in any of the posters here because I feel that as long as they are posting it just means a life that this dreadful disease has not claimed. I try to overlook the bad moods and chalk it up to the person not feeling well or just having a bad hair day. As long as you all keep up the posting I am a big old fat happy camper. Bad mood .....Good mood makes no difference because you all are a Blessing to me when I come here and see your name.

What a stressful day I've had. My phone was ringing literally every 20 minutes today. It was as though someone was timing it. And then I was asked to watch my neighbor's child after school. She normally goes to another neighbor who does day care, but that woman's brother died and she was out of town. The alternate sitter had to go to the Dr. and couldn't make it back in time. So I was attempting to help both girls with their homework when the phone rang yet again. It was the vascular...

Hi Having trouble understanding your BG of 179 - is that good or bad? We use a different system to measure here in the UK - below 3 is a hypo and above 10 is "oops" and above 17 is "HELP" and above 25 is "wheres that hospital " Anyhow, back to topic - I rebel at least once a week -my hobby before diagnosis was cake making, and with two kids I've just carried on doing it . My next h1ac test will be March 31, at 9:00 am. I usually take 500mg of metformin at 5:00 am. So if I am to fast for the bloodtest, does that mean that I will be skipping this dose, or taking it later in the morning??? How will this affect the "should have a meal without more than 5 hours passing by"? Just curious, Trinity Type II, dx Oct 03, 500mg metformin 2x/day.
