maybe it was the fact that a friend's son, age 11yo was just diagnosed with
type 1 . DH said that we are older & maybe this happened because of our
lifestyle & food choices. But this child didn't have time to have bad
eating habits. His Mom has instilled good habits in him all ready.

Or maybe he just thought about it awhile & thought he'd better take the high
road & try to ward off any complications. (believe me, I have told him of
them many times!) His vision has chanded & I told him mine improved as I
gained more control.

Jo Ann in MD. thanking all of you for your help.

That's great news. I bet you are feeling greatly relieved. He is
starting to be able to take action, and getting over the initial
shock. I bet he'll get stuck into what he has to do now!

I am also happy for you - it's very encouraging to see the
improvement in the A1c, isn't it? You know your efforts are
working.

BTW, did you try to email me? I got some kind of mangled email that
seemed to be from you, but couldn't make any sense of it. With all
the weird stuff that comes in these days, I'd be interested to know.

Annette

Thanks Annette! I do feel relieved! And ready to help, if he asks.

I felt really elated when I heard what my A1c was & the same evening got the
call that about his high sugar level. So I started to feel guilty that I
was such a wonderful report & felt so good about it. But a dear friend
pointed out that I SHOULD feel good about what I had worked so hard to
accomplish!

I did try to e-mail you. It was me. We just change servers & I just got
the Hotmail account so please excuse me. I will figure this thing out
eventually!!

TIA,

Jo Ann in MD.
