this is an update on a post from last week where I was having a problem with
the car stalling when the brakes where applied , or when it got to operating
temps.
it seems this was a two part problem. part #1 was shutting off at temp. it
seems the dielectric grease insulating the ignition module from the mounting
plate was just about gone and there was moisture in what was left. when the
motor got to 185-190 degrees, it would short the module out, killing the
spark. after cleaning and reapplying a good coating of grease, problem #1
was solved. #2 was the idle air controller was bad. changed it and now the
car runs fine.
