I'm -so relieved- to know I'm not the only one who uses two different
kinds of lotions on different body parts!!
I used Jergen's minimizing shave lotion on my legs, and B&BW Country Apple
lotion everywhere else.

The Apothecary Vanilla Body Mousse- got this at TJ Maxx so no matter how much I
like it, I won't be able to replace it, sigh.

I wouldn't worry about it. I *routinely* use three lotions; a heavy
duty sunscreen for my neck, upper chest, hands, and arms, something
with a nice scent on the rest of me, and a peppermint foot lotion on
my feet. And this doesn't count the potions I'm using on my face!

Alba Botanica's Very Emollient Body Lotion (Intensive Firming w/Vitamin E).
I love this so much that I just ran out of it and ordered another one from
drugstore.com. I normally hate body lotions for the hassle, the heavy feel,
and the smell of most of them. This one's organic and has a very faint
natural citrusy scent that's very pleasant. Before the new one comes from
drugstore.com I used a Nivea's Firming Body Lotion sample tube and the scent
bothered me so much I tossed the whole thing out after one application.

One I am really liking and you use surprisingly little is Life Lotion
Supercharger by Cashmere Beauty. It's my staple right now and I didn't
think I was that impressed at first, but now I really like it. They have a
website if you want to check it out: www.cashmerebeauty.com I didn't
realize that you can buy directly from them and actually got mine online at
www.barneys.com I got the cream but I am going to order the lotion next.
They even have a shampoo/conditioner I am rather curious about. I need to
shy away from heavy conditioning shampoos, so I am a little reluctant to try
it. If anyone else wants to and then report back what it's like, that would
be great.

Wow. Different strokes, and all that. I love the smell of the Nivea
Firming Body Lotion.

Have you ever tried Terra Nova body lotions? DH hates most lotions b/c of
the grease factor, but he approves of Terra Nova. IMO the scents are very
subtle albeit not terribly unique -- mostly light clean/floral. I bought
mine ages ago from a now defunct site, so you'd have to google to find a
retailer.

I'm pretty fussy about body lotions, too. I'm going to use you as my
mentor and chuck the bottles of Nivea firming and Jergen's Cucumber
lotion I've gotten in Allure Beauty Boxes--I hate the way both of them
smell. I keep the Nivea by the kitchen sink and put it on my hands and
even when it's just on my hands I keep finding myself thinking "What's
that SMELL?" The Jergen's has an unpleasant dry down or something
weird and musky happening. Either that or it turned.
And now I have to put in a plug for my new favorite body lotion: Mixed
Emotions "bite me" chocolate comfort body cream. You have to be a
foodie scent type, obviously, but it smells just like a Three
Musketeers bar and has a wonderful pudding-y texture--not as greasy
and heavy as TBS Nut Body Butter. I'm really enjoying it during this
transitional season as my skin gets a bit dryer. And the scent lasts,
too. Of course, this would mean that Eunice would hate it, but
Laurie0512 and Beckie would probably be fans.

I prefer spray-on body oil products but haven't seen one for a while. Think I'm
going to try this recipe with distilled water and rose geranium oil.
Spray On Body Oil
1/4 cup vodka
1/4 cup scented water**
3 tbs. sweet almond oil
Pour all ingredients into a spray pump bottle and close. Shake the bottle
until well mixed. Shake before each use.
**to scent water - pour boiling water over dried or fresh herbs or zest,
let cool, strain.

I soo need to order this!!! I haven't been using lotions too often lately,
but now that it's getting cooler here, I'll go back to using some of my
favorites again like the TBS Cocoa Body Butter and the Cake lotions from
WTF.

Prissy, didn't you mention that this is sold on the SmallFlower site? I looked
there and couldn't find it. I also tried to Google it. Maybe I didn't get the
name right. -- Beckie

This recipe sounds very intriguing...thanks for posting it! I have three questions:
1) How moisturizing is it? (heavy enough for winter, or more of a summer weight?)
2) What does the vodka do?
3) How long does it keep?.........Laurie B.
