And I love the Ultra Fine for lining with powder shadows, so a mini-sized is
going to rock. What a fun idea.
OMG! I *just* read a description of the Cartier fragrance in the Oct. Lucky
and I was absolutely dying to try it. This gift just keeps getting better and
better!! The "guts" of this one sound much more fun than the last one,
although I loved the toothpaste in the last one, and the bag! Too bad about
the LM because that's a product I was always interested in trying. Oh well.

I know, I'm so jazzed about having this little beauty for travel and
stuff!
I'm wearing the fragrance today - it's le Baiser du Dragon. I know a
little French but typically only speak makeup, food, and ballet
so
I'm not sure but I think that's Kiss of the Dragon. Anyway... I
reallyreallyREALLY like it! I had an "Addict moment" when I first
sprayed it on - you remember when Dior Addict came out last year and it
was love at first smell? Well, like that! So, I think you'll have a good
chance of liking this one too.
Actually, it smells sort of like Addict, on me anyway, but less sweet,
without all the vanilla. But it's sweeter than say YSL Nu, which on me
smells just spicy without any added sweetness at all. Le Baiser du
Dragon is warm and spicy and mysterious and gorgeous! I'm not really
adept at the colorful fragrance descriptions some people here are so
gifted at writing, but I can tell you that you MUST try this one. This
is the first day wearing it and it's possible I'll be unenchanted with
it after it dries down for a while or I wear it a few times. But I doubt
it; I expect will be buying the full size when the sample runs low.
It seems like a nice formula, too - I tried it on my hand. The only way
it'd work for me, maybe, is if I mixed it with something to lighten it
up. But that doesn't really let me appreciate the LM formula on its own.
I'll probably give mine away since it'll never match me.

I simply can't WAIT. It sounds divine, and right up my fragrance alley.

Does it strike you as unisex at all? (The Cartier)

I hadn't thought about it before, but I think it is somewhat
gender-neutral. It's not a real girlie kind of scent because it isn't
very sweet or flowery. It doesn't smell especially "masculine" to me,
but it could work for a man, too. As I was enjoying the dry-down of it
yesterday evening, I noticed a slight similarity to the now-disc. Gap
Om, which I always thought was great for either men or women, and I
think they have some notes in common (patchouli, certainly, but some
others too I think). It's definitely more sophisticated and "fancier"
that Om, though. It's what I think of as a real "grown up" perfume.
I'm officially in love with this fragrance now! It smelled fabulous on
me all day yesterday, and lasted pretty much the whole day. Everyone
must try this stuff, it is a moral imperative!

I didn't care for it. I thought it was too strong. I am getting very picky
about fragrances in my old age.
