Very few people can afford the high-end designer clothing that's displayed in fashion magazines. Luckily, though, several mags now contain a regular feature showing decent lower-end versions of the same item, which I find helpful. Also, for me the whole point of reading fashion magazines is to get inspiration, ideas for new combinations that I can put together for myself with less expensive pieces. And anyway, there are always sample sales...

I have a really cool makeup case I got from Wal-Mart for $10 that is leopard and quite large...it's canvas. Not all of the makeup bags at Wal-Mart are cheap crap (lol). It looks like a GWP bag really! I love it. I can keep my entire Clinique stash (excluding skincare & fragrance) in there. The zipper is the main thing I look for in a makeup bag.
