- Psoriatic arthropathy and tendons
- Posted by Arty
Hi - First time posting here. My partner (female) is looking for anyone who
also has psoriatic arthropathy (the form of psoriasis that goes into the
joints, producing a sort of arthritis) and tendon involvement. She
discovered only relatively recently that pain from the tendons is a serious
part of the condition too, and would like to be in touch with anyone else in
this boat, and talk about experience, remedies etc. Cheers!

I'm a winner. It got so bad the I could hardly walk. The disease has gotten
into my neck, hand and fingers, both knees, and my toes. I first went on
remicade and had some reactions to it. I'm now on enbrel and not only has my
knees stop hurting but my psoriatic skin is barely visible. You need to get
with the doctor and talk about this type of treatment. Most insurance
companies will not cover these drugs for psoriatic arthritis but most
doctors will treat and bill them for rheumatoid arthritis. Both remicade and
enbrel have been approved by the fda for use on psoriatic arthritis. If I
can answer any questions feel free to e-mail me. But most important is to
seek treatment because psoriatic arthritis will destroy your joints.
