I don't know if this is off subject or not on this newsgroup, but my husband does have arthritis of the spine so I hope you don't mind if I lurk a bit. My question for now is this: Will Medicare help a person get an electric wheelchair and or a lift for it. A friend of ours is desparately needing one. If he can get the wheelchair on his own, will Medicare pay for the lift? Is there any other organization to contact if this one won't. The friend is also on disability. Thank you for your...

ZERO NEGATIVE ARTHRITIS Hi all Before anyone takes offence and berates me for asking this question, let me say that I phrased it thus, so that I could get your attention. Sorry if you find your self offended, but I have suffered from what I know to be arthritis for approximately ten years now, but the medical establishment cannot in any way detect any kinds of arthritis in my body, and I need to find a way to prove that I have arthritis.
- Operation Reversal
- Posted on 08-03-2003 | 2 Comments
Hi, About 15 years ago I had a patella reallignment operation where my patella ligament was repositioned with a screw and I was in a plaster cast for 9 weeks. I found that it didn't relieve my knee pain and actually weakened the knee. I was quite young when I had it done (23 years old) and have always regretted it. Does anyone know if this operation is reversible, or is it too late now

I have been trying the diet for the past week and I am finding that my symptons are much better. I do not get sick after eating like I did before. I am pretty much just staying away from breads. I do not know if their is a correlation between AS and diet but my aunt was diagnosed with a allergy to wheat and flour as a teenager at Duke University. This was back in the late 50's. She does not eat any type of bread or foods with bread in it. r
