I found something that changed my life, literally. The results have been wonderful. Before..... I had chronic fatigue, massive osteo arthritis in all of my joints, degenerative disk disease, and multiple herniated disks in my neck area. I could sleep 8 hours, and still would wake up exhausted, and my head in a fog. Along with many other issues we all live with, I was desperate, the pain and discomfort was constant, even though I was on an anti-inflammatory and pain medication for over 8 years,...

- Remicade now on Pharmaceutical Benefits in Australia.
- Posted on 01-26-2004 | 2 Comments
Hi, I realise that this is not major news for many people but in Australia, Rmicade has now been introduced to the pharmaceuticals benefit list along with Enbrel. So the way it works in "down under" in that drugs that are obviously useful to the population need, to be approved under the pharmaceuticals list, which attract Government subsidy. Remicade as with Enbrel would normally cost around $20,000 per annum, however under the Australian scheme it is only going to cost users around $300 per...

- Glucosamine Chondroitin and Sulfa Allergies
- Posted on 01-25-2004 | 2 Comments
While looking for information on Glucosamine Chondroitin (G-C), I did many searches for information related to problems with Sulfa(*) allergies. But, I found a lot of contradictory information on whether G-C could cause problems for people with this allergy. Some sites said "Maybe", others said "Yes, it does cause problems". But, most said "No, it cannot" (coincidentally, many of those sites that said NO were also selling Glucosamine Chondroitin). So, I thought I would post my real-world...

Hi everybody, Very often when I walk in the drug store, I check the glucosamin products. Before it used to come only with Chondroitin. Now the manufacturers have came out with Boswellia and MSM. Would somebody know the difference between chondroitin, Boswellia and MSM. The websites I consulted are contradicting one another. Also, are there any side effects? I'm on medication for psoriatic arthritis

The pain is minimal but its uncomforatble. I was diagnosed with having U.Colitis a 3 years ago and am taking Azaphioprine and Ascol. I think I have a spondyloarthropathy due to this disease.

Hello all I've just received some blood test results in which the doctor tells me the test used to look at bone ? was raised. Teh test was repeated and the same result received. The doctor now tells me she is making an appointment for me to see a rheumatologist. There was no chance for me to question her in any depth as she gave me the results over the telephone earlier today and was in too much hurry to discuss things. I feel completely at sea about this and have no idea what she is...
