Need advice re knee arthroscopy
Posted on 02-17-2004 | 2 Comments

My wife had knee arthroscopy about 3 weeks ago. She is 60 and had a tear on the miniscus that was trimmed. Also, they smoothed some irregularities on the synovium of the thigh bone. After a week the doc sent her to a therapist to start getting PT and stimulation. She starts feeling good and thinks things are ok and then starts back doing more activities. After that the knee seems to get irritated and swell. How long does it take for a surgery like this to completely heal? How much...

VAX-D, VAXD, Texas Spine Clinic

I want to make all interested parties aware of my very negative experience at the Texas Spine Clinic, a five location chain in Dallas - Ft. Worth. They are part of a self-proclaimed "VAX-D Network". Two weeks ago, I made a confirmed appointment to visit the 1915 N Central Expressway location in Plano, Texas. When I arrived, no one expected me. That was at 2PM. An hour later, when no one had bother to check my status, I went to the front desk to find out the situation. Apparently, the...

Is Arthritis History?
Posted on 02-02-2004 | 1 Comments

Let's start with what happens to your body as you age. In your teen's and early 20's there is an abundance of growth hormone and this promotes the growth of muscles tendons and ligaments, and collagen is used as the building protein for this growth. When we get in to our mid twenties obviously the growth hormone diminishes and stops and the collagen produced by the liver is then used to promote healthy muscles and build existing muscles.
