link to infections
Posted on 04-07-2005 | 1 Comments

I've been taking Remicaid infusions for over two years - the rheumy has increased my dosage because I was not responding well (still in bad pain) and now I keep getting sinus infections. I keep taking different antibiotics and after a long time (I miss infusions) I finally get better - get my infusion and then another sinus infection. It's the most miserable merry go round. Maybe we should either cut back down on the dose or try something else? Anyone else have this problem? K

I am an acupuncturist who has over 20 years experience in acupuncture clinic. I have Ph.D degree and master degree in acupuncture from Beijing University of TCM. I am practising acupuncture in Toronto in my own clinic. I was thinking to visit big companies (like bank, insurance companies, etc)to give their employees' lecture and demonstration about acupuncture treatment, for a lot of them need acupuncture treatment, but they do not know about acupuncture and have time to go to clinic. Has anyone here heard of Immunics?
Posted on 03-30-2005 | 2 Comments

I came across a very simple and easy method of getting access to my own immune system called Immunics. http://www.Immunics.org On this site it says you can cure even deadly diseases often within minutes. It is a form of kinesiology using finger testing instead of muscle testing. The basic method is to hold your hand out palm downwards with fingers relaxed and state aloud or in your head "I am now gaining access to the ability to control my own immune system" then you wait for an...

That Jerry Lewis inplant thing for pain
Posted on 03-28-2005 | 2 Comments

I have seen Jerry Lewis a few times on TV promoting that electrical device for pain relief. I should think that thing would work for any pain. I certianly would be open to that treatment for pain rather than the side effects of RA meds. Anyone here tried this? Teresa (42 RA)

Underarm/side pain and breast soreness
Posted on 03-27-2005 | 1 Comments

I have been experiencing underarm pain that runs all the way to my shoulderblades.... especially on the left side. This usually worsens when I have my monthly period. Picking up my child also worsens the pain. The pain was so bad at one point, I had to put a heating pad on my side just so I could sleep. I noticed a very sore lump in my armpit last month, which went away a few days later. I have been told by many people that it was my fibroids. I also have had "zinging" sensations in both...

Dairy spurs flare-ups.
Posted on 03-24-2005 | 7 Comments

Dairy exacerbates flare-ups. Years ago I fasted for three days. I broke my fast with yogurt before going to bed for the night. The next morning my whole body was swollen with an abnormal accumulation of fluid (edema). I also was barely able to move. The next time I went to the rheumatologist I told her about my experience. She had recently returned from a rheumatology conference. One of the doctors there had done a test of RA patients, according to a paper which he handed out, which showed...

Jane Fonda

Jane Fonda is now 67 and has severe osteoarthritis. She had surgery on her knee and is going to have a hip replacement later in the spring! Could this wear and tear on her joints be due to her "no pain, no gain" aerobics philosophy?

Mehtod of curing and diagnosing arthritis

No pills!!! Meditation and autotraining treatment. There is a computer program and a device for treating more than 1330 diseases, symptoms and diagnosis including arthritis that works successfully. It is possible to deliver the medicinal file to any part of the world. A "cumulative effect" is used in treatment – accumulation of weak influence precisely on the patient's frequency due to the influence recurrence and the idea of a resonance of the unhealthy organ with the influence. These...

50mg premixed Enbrel changed effects?
Posted on 03-23-2005 | 4 Comments

Would appreciate hearing from anyone who has switched from the 25mg 2xweek dosage to the 50mg premixed 1xweek. I have used the new one since 1st of year and had done really great before then. My "good" knee is now hurting and the joint popping out of place (not much fun). I have gotten 2 steroid shots in it which only lasted a couple of weeks. Saw surgeon who did my other knee replacement and he says it is arthritis and that knee does not need to be replaced. I in general feel pretty lousy...

johnson & johnson "rotating platform" knee replacement
Posted on 03-21-2005 | 1 Comments

I posted the following in February, but no replies. Am reposting with the possibility that a new reader may have some answers: ************************************ Johnson & Johnson have been tv advertising with frequency their total knee replacement appliance that has "rotating platform". Is there a true advantage of this device over other knee replacement appliances, or is it simply marketing hype? Any info containing pros & cons or neutrality on this would be deeply appreciated. ...
