Anyone here tried steroidal joint injections for RA? I just had it
done a week ago in seveal joints and I can see no improvement. Anyone

I have had these injections in knees and shoulder, also lumbar spine. They
worked for awhile but eventually did not and I had to have surgery. I could
tell difference right away when they worked but they always tell you to wait
a couple of days for the effect. Hope it kicks in for you.

10 days to work on me, the lst couple i had lasted around 3 months, but
i cant have them anymore as the last couple of times they never worked

Hi Teresa, I have had them in my wrists, shoulders, and knees. I have
RA and I have also had a series of shots in my ribcage below my shoulder
blade. This type of steroid shot works very well for me to put out the
fire you might say when a place is highly inflamed and/or swollen. The
knees would have the fluid drawn off and the steroid put in. My doctors
would not let me have more than 3 shots in any one place in a year because
the steroid itself does cause its own kind of damage to the joint if over
used. Good luck with it.
