- How quickly does a gout attack subside ?
- Posted by jim
Hi,
I have just had what I think is a gout attack in my knee.
I had swelling and heat and pain. It took about a day to get going, I took
nsaid rested etc. Then I tried to get into my wifes car, had great pain -
difficulty getting in. When I went to get out a couple of miles later I had
virtually full movement of my knee back much redced pain !
Is this typical of an attack or is something else wrong with my knee
any ideas ?
TIA
Jim

Hi Jim, Usually Gout goes to the end of our extremities. Our toes,
feet, ankles. There is very specific medicine a person can take to
fight against gout. There is diet that helps fight against Gout. I
think you have just strained your knee in some way and in time things
will get better with NSAIDs or Glucos/con for awhile. The best answer
will come from your doctor on what is taking place.

Thanks for your answer Harv, but I already suffer from gout.
This attack felt like gout but "disappeared" so quickly
I wondered if it could be some other problem.
Ayone else have such a quick recovery ?
regards
Jim.

Try liquid glucosamine complex and stay away from white wine, vinegar,
tamatoes and all acids.
Movement is the best remedy and
I found liquid glucosamine complex and it started working after 4
days.
I use it now since 2 months and am a new man, walk, sleep and started
sports again. I'm 55.
I have a web page on this with full details here
http://perso.wanadoo.fr/corsaire.cha...synflexgb.html
It does not have any known side effects.

Roy, you are responding to a weeks old post about gout with an
advertisement for your site which sells glc/complex for arthritis.
That is not allowed here. You may not come here to make money off of
people with problems of arthritis, gout,,, or what ever. You and your
site have been reported for advertising in a newsgroup that has a
charter that does not allow it.
