- glucosamine and headaches/chest discomfort
- Posted by ap
Hello,
My mother took glucosamine supplements and felt discomfort in her
chest as well as headaches. I was wondering if these were common
for other users as well.
The first time she took the glucosamine with MSM and chondritis. Then
later, she took just glucosamine sulfate. Both times, she felt some
discomfort. These were purchased at a vitamin store and are the brand
of that vitamin store.
She currently stopped taking these supplements.
I saw the CR report on the supplements.
Any suggestions from the forum? We are wondering if she should
try other brands like Osteo Bi flex and the liquid forms too?
Thanks.

borderline problems such as blood pressure,,, high sugar,,,, an imbalance in
her white and red blood cell counts. She is the only mother you have,,,,
please do not gamble.

two things come to mind, and harvey has already addressed the poss. of
insulin imbalance so let me go for the other one:
there have been reported instances of asthma flare after starting to take
a glucosamine-chondroitin sulfate compound

so, wouldn't hurt to look into that as a possibility.
be well

I would suggest you take your mother to the doctor. Glucosamine is a benign
substance found naturally in the body.
