From WebMD........

What are the possible side effects of celecoxib?
• If you experience any of the following serious side effects, stop taking
celecoxib and seek medical treatment or call your doctor immediately:
· an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of your throat;
swelling of your lips, tongue, or face; or hives);
· abdominal pain, tenderness, or discomfort;
· bloody, black, or tarry stools;
· nausea or heartburn;
· bloody vomit;
· unexplained weight gain;
· swelling or water retention;
· unusual fatigue or lethargy;
· a skin rash or itching;
· yellowing of your skin or eyes;
· "flu-like" symptoms; or
· unusual bruising or bleeding.
• Other, less serious side effects may be more likely to occur. Continue
to take celecoxib and talk to your doctor if you experience
· flatulence or diarrhea;
· dizziness;
· headache; or
· insomnia.
• Side effects other than those listed here may also occur. Talk to your
doctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially
bothersome.

I have found no relief with either Celebrex or Vioxx. Had stomach
problems, even afte eating before taking the meds. I stopped taking
them months ago. Its something how these meds are prescribed so
easily and quick after a diagnoseis of a arthritic condition. Whats
even more ridiculous is the costs of the meds. Meds that I have come
to know, don't help many at all.

and with some people, they mean the world with their condition that get
much worse without one of these new medicines. I used to take indocine
which made my day a little better and I could continue to work. The
problem was that my ankles got so big my family doctor thought I had
heart trouble and he called my RD about it and the medicine was stopped.
Those two medicines were invented to help people without a good chance
of doing damage to their stomachs. People are different when taking
NSAIDS. I took prescription Naprosyn to the max amount for 6 years
before my family doctor finally sent me to a RD for help. Naprosyn and
indocine are two of the worst NSAIDS about eating up a persons insides.
I have had none of that and still do not. It was Arava for me that
made my stomach inflamed and IMO had a great deal to do with a acid
reflux problem I used to have. So it goes, Sunshyne. It is why we
come together here and talk about what has worked or has not worked for
a person and why.
