Antianemic and potential anti-inflammatory activity of
desferrioxamine:

possible usefulness in rheumatoid arthritis.

Giordano N, Sancasciani S, Borghi C, Fioravanti A, Marcolongo R.

In order to study the role of excessive synovial iron sequestration
in
the
production of anemia in rheumatoid arthritis (RA), the antianemic
efficacy and
anti-inflammatory effect of desferrioxamine administered in a
short-term
treatment (14 days), were evaluated in 10 patients suffering from
classic or
definite RA and hyposideremic anemia. Treatment with desferrioxamine
showed an
elevated urinary iron excretion, a significant increase of serum
iron,
UIBC and
hemoglobin, and a marked progressive decrease of serum ferritin. A
moderate
improvement of the pain intensity, morning stiffness and Ritchie's
index was
also observed. The results obtained suggest that excessive
reticuloendothelial
iron deposits occur in RA and that the iron uptake can be an
important
factor
in the production of anemia. Desferrioxamine seems to be useful in
the
treatment of patients suffering from RA and anemia, in order to
release
iron
from synovial tissue, reduce the inflammatory process and improve
anemia,
changing an anemia which is typically resistant to the martial
therapy
into an
iron-sensitive anemia.

Rusty the Singing Enema Nozzle <teamtanner@hotmail.com> timewasted:

That embarrassed laugh is just so "you," Tommy Troller. Even you
know that your maunderings sound like lunacy.

The argument is tired because it's called on to deal with your rubbish
so often. Let's see you post material which proves that any of the research
you cite was confirmed by scientists--or even noticed by real scientists.
Find something definite instead of your usual weasel-words. Otherwise
all you're doing is citing quacks who obfuscate their claims to avoid
legal prosecution.

What would a subliterate like you know about books, Rusty?

Well let's .. compare .. you and .. me ..

You and the OTHER .. **dckhds** .. ON .. this particular .. thread ..

Rusty the Crossposting Crossdresser <teamtroller@hotmail.com> trolled:

You. Everyone else is right, Rusty. You're a boring,
obnoxious, ignorant, lying troll with nothing but an
oversupply of ego. I won't feed you again until I
get a fresh shipment of iron-impregnated ground glass.

As for your scientific claims, your word is worth its weight
in hot air. Now turn around, bend over and get

PLONKED.

Ironic Injustice (AKA: Rust Bucket, Two brain-cell Tommy, Troll Boy, etc.) DOES
serve a purpose (besides being the Ultimate Bad Example); no matter how bad
your headache or how long you've been without sleep, you still make more sense
and have a better connection to reality than he does.

Also, he's a perfect target for a vent; no matter what you say, it's not
slander or libel since he is even worse.
