Toothpaste

I think I read in here once that certain kinds of TP caused breakouts. I
just bought a new thing of crest extra whitening with tartar control and my
chin has erupted. Could it be the toothpaste? I usually use something else.
In addition, my BF, who has never had even one little pimple in his entire
life, has a mini breakout around the corners of his mouth. We are trying to
narrow down the culprit...

thanks guys

Sounds like it's your toothpaste, if you both have new breakouts
thereabouts..
Trash it..

(I've been searching for a non-sls toothpaste that I like, I've been
using Jason SeaFresh, but it is hard to rinse off the brush, cements up
in the toothbrush, which I don't like. But otherwise it's nice)

You may be on the right trail. Wash your face after brushing, instead
of before, and see it it helps. I find that if I don't rinse very
well after brushing, my mustache gets irritated.

There's an interesting discussion on Canker sores & SLS in toothpaste that
you may want to read. Check:
http://www.cankersoreremedies.com/so...l-sulfate.html. There is also
a link at the end of the page about a non-SLS toothpaste.

Thanks,

Thanks guys. I guess the kind I usually use had less SLS in it or something.
I haven't used the new TP in a couple of days and I haven't had any new
"friends" show up, so I'm pretty sure that's was it. If it hadn't been for
this fantastic NG, I would have drove myself crazy dabbing ointments and
tonics on my face without knowing the cause ^_^

We should host our own radio talk show...

Thanks a 10^6!!

Biotene makes one. Never tried it, but I love their alcohol-free mouthwash.

I've used Biotene toothpaste. It tastes ok, but it doesn't foam and winds up
running all your chin. I prefer ClosysII.

I've been using sensodyne original forever and that's shocking for gunking
up the brush.

But it helps my sensitive teeth and doesn't irritate my skin, so I'll stick
with it.
