My dermatologist tells me I have to use sunscreen while I'm on Retin-A
Micro. Well guess what, all the sunscreens on the market have
moisterizers in them, and they ALWAYS make me break out. Kind of
defeats the purpose of the Retin-A Micro, ya know?

Is there a good sunscreen that doesnt have moisterizers and doesnt
tend to cause breakouts?

I'm not a fan of sunBLOCK due to the way it sits on my face and feels
uncomfortable.

Are the sunscreens you're referring to oil-free? I haven't tried it yet,
but my friend suggested I try oil free sunblock. Here's a page I found from

I hate the oily feel of most sunscreens, too. Neutrogena has come out with
a new sunscreen called Ultra Sheer Dry Touch sunblock (SPF 45) that does
feel non-oily, after it absorbs into your skin. You might try that one. I
like it. I also like their Visibly Firm face lotion (the one with copper)
which has an SPF 20. It's also pretty absorbent. Lotion, not cream.

I have no affiliation with Neutrogena, just like these two products for
their feel.

I was on Retin-A for quite a while, and like you, my skin became very
sensitive to so many things. But I found my skin was "calmer" when I used
Retin-A with the Obagi system. The Obagi sunscreen SPF 15 is what I am
using now, and so far so good.

You may want to try cetaphil moisturizer with SPF 15, so far i've found its
one of the only sunblocks not to make me break out.

we have a skincare site. We carry many brands, but we have one brand,
DDF, that was designed by a dermatologist. Their products are for
special issues. They have a great mist with an spf of 30 that's for
people with oily skin or acne.

It's important that you know your skin and how your skin reacts to things.
Personally I'm terribly allergic to topical PABA and Parsol 1789 (?), this
is also known as Avobenzone (sp). One time use of products with these in
them and it's a zit fest. Sunscreens with these work just fine to me

My face hates stuff like that too and it often would cause a breakout.

I can say that, for some reason, Neutrogena sunscreens don't cause me
to break out. Maybe one of them will work for you also.
