Skin abnormally dry this winter
Posted by Craig in the city

Heya

I was on Accutane for 3 years from 1999 to 2002. My acne cleared up to the
point it's 99.9% gone.

This winter has been horrible. Since December until now my skin gets flaky
over night, it almost constantly peeling. I am using Urea 20% (I can't find
30% anywhere) to moisturieze every day, but it still happens.

Any ideas, why or a good way to combat this? Otherwise not much has
changed: no big diet change, pretty fit - workout regular, same enviornment.
Weather wise this winter isn't any more different than the last.. maybe a
little more mild - not much snow.

I am just wondering if this is one of the long term side effects of Accutane
for such a long period of time. I was on 40mg the entire time. With maybe 6
months of breaks in the 3 years.

people. Mix a liter of water with 1 tablespoon of table salt (sodium
chloride) and 1 teaspoon of epsom salt (magnesium sulfate). This is
just a little less salty than sea water with a very similar
composition. After washing and drying, just splash a little on, rub
it in a bit and blot the excess off with a towel.
