- Sensitive topic? I need help!
- Posted on 02-14-2004 | 1 Comments
Hi- I hope this isn't too sensitive a topic to discuss online, but I'm embarrassed to even bring it up with my Primary Physician, and I'm hoping to get some insights here. My OB-GYN suggested a cream, but that didn't do much. I used to have some facial acne problems, but those are pretty much gone now. I never had acne on my back or any other body parts. I don't have acne anywhere now except on my "private parts" around and
- What about my back and butt

I have a major break out on my back and upper parts of my butt. Don't laugh. Has anyone tried the body wash by Proactiv? Did it helped? The back is a hard to reach area. How do you guys clean that area? What would you recommend (besides Jolen creme) to bleach my facail hair? The Jolen stuff doesn't quite do the trick.

Hello all, I have suffered serious acne for about a year now - my face was littered with little spots and so too was my back and part of my chest. I had tried a plethora of creams and ointments to no, long term avail. If I didn't use the creams everyday without fail my acne would return even worse. Even if I did use the creams I would still get a couple of new spots every day or so. I have even tried different diets - none of which had any dramatic influences on my acne. Nonetheless, my...

Hi there I have always tended not to use a moisturiser because it always seemed to make my skin worse. I would use it for a few days and not see an improvevmnt so stop using it. As things couldnt get any worse im thinking about using one. I am going to get proscribed Roaccutane in 2 months so i might as well give it a last shot to see if i do get an improvement. Can anyone recomend a good moisturiser that has worked for them that i could use. I have oily skin and my condition is mainly red...
- Mild Case Of Acne
- Posted on 02-07-2004 | 6 Comments
I'm a 24 year old male and have a mild case of acne. My dermatologist prescribed differin, about 5 or 6 weeks ago and it's not really helping. The acne is only on a few spots on my face, but it never seems to go away. I think shaving irritates the problem. I also have a slight case of razor burn on my neck. Does anyone have any suggestions what might work?? I also have a question about washing my face. I have gotten a few different opinions from friends & family. My mom told me to use my hands...

I've been on oral medication for two years now (Oxytetracycline) and to honest with you I'm not sure whether its been doing anything for my acne... although the doc says it won't do me any harm to stay on it. Now as for topical treatments I've had a fair few: Dalacin - did nothing at all Eryacne 2% & 4%

Im looking for some basic rules on how to shave when confronted with acne pustules(around the mouth) and blackheads(around the cheeks). I currently use a single blade razor, shaving with the grain, using little strokes and trying to avoid the pustules. My facial hair has not yet fully developed. However, in the places where it has developed acne seems to have dissapeared. I don't shave everyday, its more like every three days, when I start

- Accutane Without Presciption

Hey, I just got accutane, I don't have a presciption (however I could get one as my acne is bad) but my insurance doesn't cover acne so I have to pay out of pocket. So I just bought the pills online. How do I know how much to take? I weigh 185 pounds, i've read tons about accutane and it seems people my weight are taking 40MG. How long do I keep taking accutane for (until it goes away or the lenght of one dose)? From what I understand all the blood tests check for are triglycerides so...

Heya I was on Accutane for 3 years from 1999 to 2002. My acne cleared up to the point it's 99.9% gone. This winter has been horrible. Since December until now my skin gets flaky over night, it almost constantly peeling. I am using Urea 20% (I can't find 30% anywhere) to moisturieze every day, but it still happens. Any ideas, why or a good way to combat this? Otherwise not much has

I started out on 40 mg a day and did great, completly clear. My doctor was very happy and since I had little side effects decided to put me on 80 mg one day and 40 the next. Ever since this increase I have had some of the worst acne in my life. It has been about 3 weeks and it is getting a little better but I am not sure what to do. Should I just go back on 40 a day or wait this out and hope it clears up?

Hello. I'm writing this message on behalf of my wife since I'm the usenet expert in the house... :) My wife (29yrs old) has been on birth control for about the last 10 years or so.. Not Diane-35 but some others.. At around the year 2000 she went off the birth control for about a year and in that time she got fairly bad acne.. So she went back on birth control in 2001 this time on Diane-35 for the first time.. Within about 4 months the acne totally cleared up and her skin was pretty much...
