- Fish and Flax Oil: concerns over toxins and going bad?
- Posted on 10-02-2003 | 8 Comments
I'm interested in starting some Fish and Flax Seed Oil Capsules supplementation. But I am concerned about toxins and chemicals in the fish oil (mercury, cadmium, dioxin, etc.) in the Fish Oils, and degradation/spoiling of the Flax Seed Oil. What are some tips I can follow to avoid those problems? Refridgeate the Flax Seed Oil Capsules? Does anyone know of a specific company that is better for this sort of thing? Specific company that makes sure there are lower levels of toxins in the Fish Oil...

What effect does it have on the resolution of acne?
- Toothpaste
- Posted on 09-26-2003 | 7 Comments
I think I read in here once that certain kinds of TP caused breakouts. I just bought a new thing of crest extra whitening with tartar control and my chin has erupted. Could it be the toothpaste? I usually use something else. In addition, my BF, who has never had even one little pimple in his entire life, has a mini breakout around the corners of his mouth. We are trying to narrow down the culprit... thanks guys ^_^ L

- Beard and acne medicine
- Posted on 09-23-2003 | 7 Comments
Hello I have noticed that growing a beard protects your face against acne, so i am letting my beard grow. My hair is black, as well as my beard. Lately my beard has been changing color, it has been changing to a redish orange color. Does this have anything to do with the acne medicine "PROACTIVE" i am using twice a day? also... is it a good idea to keep the beard, i dont mind it at all, im just wondering if its interrupting the medication of taking its full effect. Advice would be appreciated
- Is Yogurt Ok ? How about IGIA Instant Cover ?
- Posted on 09-23-2003 | 11 Comments
Hi everyone. Still on my no refined carb diet with so-so results. Maybe because I've been cheating a bit lately or maybe it's just not working for me. Anyway, do you think unsweetened yogurt is OK or will it cause problems ? Also I got an ad for IGIA Instant Cover. Anybody had experience with this ? Looks good, but the ad could be total B.S. so I would trust you folks much more. Thanks for your opinions. - Tom D. -

- 2 years after Accutane...
- Posted on 09-21-2003 | 8 Comments
Hey group *wave* Ok, I've haven't been around for almost two years (sorry for that) and now I'm back. And not even for the right reason... After struggeling with acne for many years I fianlly took Accutane in 2001. For 4 months and I occasionally posted here telling about that and the skin was ok after that. Still, ofcourse, huge scarring and taken MSM for that for a longggg time with no visible results I could notice. Anyway, with no acne I was happy enough about that! Then about 3-4 months...

Hey all, I used to follow this group regularly a few years ago. At that time I tried a large range of treatments for my acne: topical and oral antibiotics, diets, _a lot_ of so called "wonder cures" (most recently Chinese medicine). All without any effect. Don't get me wrong, though. I am sure some of these approaches can help other people, but it just wasn't for me. That is one of the major problems with acne in my opinion -- what works wonders for one person does nothing
- Alcohol & carbs, carb diet limit
- Posted on 09-20-2003 | 35 Comments
Does clear alcohol (gin, vodka) have carbs? Is it ok to drink clear alcohol on the anti-acne low carb diet? How many carbs does, say, a shot of gin have? How much sugar? What about beer? I read that the sugar in clear alcohol is not converted into glucose, whatever that means. Also, how many grams of carbs should I stay under if I am on the low carb diet to see optimum results? 20g/day? 50g?
- Demodex Update
- Posted on 09-19-2003 | 6 Comments
Hi All Well, I have now been on the Demodex Solutions creams for one month and the breakouts have finally ceased. My skin took a real beating during that time, so I have many red scars which I will probably have to undergo some kind of treatment for (either TCA or laser). However, the skin which is not scarred looks better than ever. It is no longer the bright red you see in the before pic at DemodexSolutions.com. I have no active acne at the moment. Some of my old red scars have faded...

Hey everybody! I am about two "pearl-sized" applications away from finishing the Neutrogena AWAB cream and can't decide whether to buy that again (cuz it worked miracles for me) or to give into product addiction and try the Olay Regenerist Serum. I wrote a while back that I received a sample of the Olay stuff in the mail and used it all up in like 6 days. It was fan-freakin-tastic! I know there are some fellow New Product Junkies out there ^_^ and I need
- Sudden mosquito bites - help!
- Posted on 09-17-2003 | 6 Comments
Anyone who remembers my progress will know I've cleared up my facial acne mainly thanks to Klear Action. I've also been trying to get the oil down using Panthenite for the past month or so (and before that B5 for 6 weeks). Today, out of the blue, I got (count 'em) EIGHT mosquito bites all over my body, in areas that are fully covered by clothing. I.e. it's not a mossie! I know there's been lots of talk here about B5 causing these itchy wheals, so I can now say that it applies to Panthenite...
- Demodex mites causing acne?
- Posted on 09-14-2003 | 6 Comments
Now a university of Florida researcher starts to admit that demodex mites can be the reason for acne and other skin diseases, see link http://extlab7.entnem.ufl.edu/PestAlert/acne.htm the Chinese know this already for 30 years, please note that metronidazole can not wipe them out, only kill some, we have hundreds of customers who tried to that with little or no result, to get the desired results you have to remove then completely.
