Demodex update
Posted by Scarred For Life?

Well, I've been using the Demodex Solutions creams for a week now and I give
them a tentative thumbs up. I am still getting some tiny spots, but that
could be due to the fact that I broke one of the commandments for acne
sufferers: change your pillowcase every night. I went into a funk and
didn't change it for like 4 days, so that could have caused some problems.
However, no "big ones" as I used to get. The spots I do get clear up much
more quickly. My skin has a really nice feel to it. It is still a bit red,
but definitely not as bad as before. The itching on my face is gone (very
important.... make sure you put cream on yr eyebrows... this is what finally
got rid of the itching for me). The Zhongzhou ointment feels awesome...
nice and tingly when it goes on. It is a bit drying, so the Fumanling
compliments it perfectly as it is a great, non-greasy moisturizer. My pore
size seems to have gone down, and my gf swears that the fine lines around my
eyes have lessened. So far, so good.... still waiting for the nasty
breakout from the decomposing dead demodex. Should happen sometime this week
or next, and believe me, you'll hear about it. I'm thinking of
incorporating the Funk Diggity Regimen, but not until V3 comes out.

hope all are well

Okay, here's my update. Currently, I've got larger bumps forming that kind
of hurt. This generally happens when my rosacea is in the "clearing up"
stage. I hope it clears up soon! Also, I'm starting to break out with
acne around my nose. This normally happens when something is too irritating
so I have to remember to not put the creams too close to my nose for a
little while. The F cream stung a little bit this morning and my skin is
starting to look a little greasy.

The only other product I'm using is a cleanser with tea tree oil.

Take care,
ar

Hi Arlyn

Nose is important to treat, most of the time there are many mites in and
around the nose,
if you think the fumanling irritates you try to use only the Zhongzhou, but
maybe to soon to tell,
that you get more acne in the beginning is normal, don't use to much from
the creams, just a bit everywhere
on the face till your skin gets better, then in time you will be able to use
a bit more.

Hi Kita,

My experience with metrogel was that it didn't work a lick.

I too have been using Walter's creams for about a
week. I had a little set-back at first because I
applied the Fumaling cream, then went out and
played vigorous tennis in the heat. The
perspiration from my brow slid the cream into my
eyes and they were itchy and swollen for a few
days. After they cleared up, I started back on
the regimen.
Today the spots that have been there "forever"
look less red and are a bit smaller. I had a few
small places start but they didn't last and went
away (something that rarely happens).
At night, the Demodex must be dancing deep under
my skin b/c it wakes me up with the itching. I
get up and slather on a bit more Z cream and go
back to bed.
I tried Metrogel before too and it didn't help me.
Do you suppose Walter's compound is stronger, a
higher percentage?

Ah-ha... thanks; Metrogel is .75% so that plus the
"Chinese Herbs" may be the kicker.

The zhongzhou ointment has no metronidazole and no other drugs inside
and works even better in killing the mites, the metronidazole in the
fumanling
is only one of the ingredients and the other herbs actually are doing the
killing,
metronidazole alone is not helping much.

Every time I'm about to try this (these) I chicken out. I don't have
Rosacea, but I do get this yearly rash on my neck (both sides) and my facial
pores look large to me. I get acne breakouts very rarely now that I'm using
Klear Action regularly (benzoyl peroxide)

So Walter, is demodex solution for me? Do you have smaller samples? I feel
kind of bad about asking for a full size sample....of course if it stops
this mess on my neck I'll be a customer for life.

Thank you
Vennitta

Haven't had an update in awhile; how's it going
with the demodex creams? Have you had any post
mortem demodex outbreaks? Are places healing?
I'm making progress... slowly, but progress
nonetheless and I'm off the antibiotic (minocin)
which wasn't helping anyway... so glad to get off
that.

Well, right now I'm broken out pretty badly. The left side of my face has
several inflamed whiteheads. The right side of my face is puffy from 2
cysts under the skin as well as tender, red acne. Seems to be mostly around
my nose. I've been compliant with the regimen except for one day on which I
couldn't apply the fumaling ointment. I'm hoping this is just the breakout
from the decomposing mites and that once it is gone, I'll finally be cleared
up. I have been off my carb-free diet lately though, so this may be
contributing. I had hoped that these creams would give me back the ability
to eat carbs again. It may be too soon to tell...I'll go off my diet again
at the end of the full 3 month evaluation. Could also be stress... I
thought my gf was pregnant, and the past 2 weeks have been hell. I'll post
again once this starts clearing.
thanks for asking

Sorry you had a little set-back... I had one too;
last night I scratched the active places in my
sleep and this morning awoke to lots of reddnss
and swelling in my eyes... very disappointing but
at only 2 weeks, I suppose it's too soon to tell.
Hope your stress level has normalized. I remember
those days when we sweated whether I was late or
if the rabbit would die (you're probably too young
to get that - used to be years ago a rabbit was
injected with a pregnant woman's urine; if it
died, the woman was pregnant)... come to think of
it, that was probably made up anyway but it was a
cute way of saying "she's expecting".
Hang in there... I was really in a funk this
morning but decided it's not life threatening so
got on with my day.

Anyway, there's a MASH episode where Radar was keeping rabbits. But
Houlihan thought they were pregnant (I think with Frank's illegitimate
child). Poor Radar almost had to sacrifice one of his bunnies, but
luckily (whew!) I think it was spared when Houlihan got her "friend"
just in time (IIRC). I tried to look this up, got the explanation, but
the video clip isn't working for me, too bad

"The origins of the "rabbit test" lie with the discovery in the 1920s
that a woman starts producing a hormone known as human chorionic
gonadotropin (hCG) shortly after a fertilized egg implants itself in the
uterine wall. (It was later discovered that the presence of hCG causes
the placenta to produce progesterone after implantation, necessary to
prevent rejection of the developing embryo.) In 1927, medical
researchers found that not only is hCG present in the urine of pregnant
women, but that female rabbits injected with urine containing hCG would,
within a few days, display distinct ovarian changes. Thus the "rabbit
test" was born, and with it the misconception that the rabbit's death
was an indicator of a positive result. In those early tests, the rabbit
always died, because the animal had to be killed before its ovaries
could be examined. Later refinements to the test enabled clinicians to
inspect the ovaries without having to kill the rabbits first, but as the
example cited above demonstrates, the misconception that the test rabbit
died only if the woman was pregnant is still with us today, even though
the "rabbit test" itself is not."
snip
"Sightings: In an episode of TV's M*A*S*H ("What's Up, Doc?", original
air date 30 January 1978), Hot Lips thinks she's pregnant, and the only
available test requires the use of Radar's rabbit. In this video clip,
Hawkeye explains to Radar how the rabbit test works."

That was a great read... thanks Kita. I thought
I had seen them all; that must have been the only
MASH episode I missed!

I'm sorry you guys are having a tough time. I'm doing great. My forehead
is almost clear of rosacea bumps that haven't moved in half a year. Other
areas on my face and neck are getting better as well.

Those setbacks are normal, not every person has them but sometimes it can be
bad,
this can be a difficult period, most important, don't give up and don't use
to much cream.
No need to do a special diet.
