can cornflakes be the cause of acne?

Not directly. But if you are allergic to corn or gluten or preservatives
and chemicals. Then sure, it can. Also, if you are very sensitive to
sugar, and I think corn flakes has sugar in it, then you could have trouble
with it.

you gotta stop with all the pseudo-science that goes around in this NG especially, that food causes acne.
food doesn't cause acne. there's very little foods that actually cause acne, unless you're allergic to
something, in which case you will see a SEVERE reaction such as a rash upon eating it(i know a friend who gets
a nasty rash each time he eats apples!!)
what you need is some actual treatment, not limiting ALL your foods like this Arlyn recommends. maybe he can
do it, but you can't. most ppl can't. most ppl will never cut out all foods or go on a restrictive diet for
life.

However, some people have had excellent results by reducing the carbs they
eat and there was a study a few months back that linked carbs to acne.

yes i'm aware of that but we were talking about A.G.'s solution which is basically to cut major food groups,
eat extremely clean and control your acne exclusively by dietary changes.
Cutting carbs is not the same thing, and obviously much more easier to do

I don't have the link handy but last year I found a website by an engineer
from Wisconsin who kept track of everything he ate for 20 years and concluded
that it was the refined carbs--basically, sugar--that was the culprit. He also
had some indication that high fat foods gave him trouble too; this is
coincident with my experience---rich desserts are absolutely lethal for my
skin, whereas I can eat fresh fruit with wild abandon and actually get
healthier results from it.
