Hi,

How long is this temporary flare up while on accutrane to last?

I just started last week 1 capsule@40mg per day
and am having a flare up..

I started accutane almost 3 months ago. I still get small breakouts
from time to time, but they only seem to last for a few days (of
course the pimples stick around for longer, but the development of
them lasts a few days). I had an initial breakout of around 15
pimples, which lasted for around 10 days. Then 10 days later i was
completely clear. Just stick with it, and it should work.

This thread makes me wonder.

I just returned from a visit to a new doctor who wants to put me on
Accutane. I am 35, have had mild acne since I was in my early 20's and
been to three doctors over that time.. this is the first one to want
to put me on Accutane and he claims flare ups are "VERY SMALL AND VERY
RARE".

My acne is actually very mild these days, but bothers me. I hope I
don't end up with a MAJOR breakout as a result of the Accutane!

I was very scared of Accutane flare up but it juste never happened. I think
it's because I was put on anti-biotics just before.

I too had mildacne, not cystic or anything like that. I'm on week 10 and im
almost perfectly clean.

Go for it! Accutane really works.
